Brighton Fire Alarms Limited (BFA) employs a highly experienced and trained team of fire alarm technicians who carry out maintenance inspection tests and repairs of the installed fire alarm systems. The team are trained to service a wide range of fire alarm systems supplied by various manufacturers that may have been installed by BFA or other installers.
BFA can provide a complete maintenance programme tailored to suit your individual requirements. This may include an annual fire alarm inspection (testing 100% of the installed system), additional 6 monthly or 3 monthly inspections, monthly emergency lighting tests and weekly fire alarm tests. Fault investigations and repair works can be arranged as required or can be dealt with by our 24hr 365 emergency call out service. All carried out to the relevant British Standards and closely monitored by a third party accreditation BAFE-SP203 Part 1.
All of our fire alarm maintenance inspections (Annual, 6 monthly and 3 monthly) include an emergency lighting test at no extra cost!
Detailed Maintenance Inspection & Test Reports are issued on completion of all annual, 6 monthly and 3 monthly service visits ‘preventative maintenance’. Included in this report amongst other items will be a list of any faults that may have been recorded or attended to, any recommendations, battery backup readings, quantity of devices tested, and any areas where access had not been gained.

Fire Alarm Installations

Our highly trained team will design the fire alarm system to suit your specific needs, whether you require a Grade A analogue addressable, conventional or radio link wireless system for industrial, commercial or large domestic premises. We can also offer Redcare remote monitoring for all these installations if required. We offer a full range of systems to meet your needs and all of our quotations are free of charge.
All fire alarm systems are designed, installed and commissioned to comply with the relevant British standards BS 5839-parts 1 to 6 for Grade A to Grade F.
AOV Maintenance
AOV maintenance can also be undertaken, the control indicating panels are separate from the fire alarm system, however they are often linked to activate each other where both systems are installed:
The maintenance of these systems includes:
Checking the AOV control indicating panels, power supplies for correct operation, this includes checking any standby batteries.
Smoke detectors, manual controls and relays that are interfaced with the control indicating panel are tested using the relevant test equipment.
Wear accessible the AOV itself is checked for any wear and tear and mechanical moving parts are lubricated and cleaned as necessary.
A full report is then issued indicating any course of action required.
24 Hr 365 Emergency Call Out Service
Brighton Fire Alarms Limited provides a 24 hour Emergency Call Out Service, operational 365 days per year. This service is operated by our highly experienced and trained technicians who always provide a quick response time. They are also equipped with the majority of spare parts for most systems as standard, enabling them to swiftly rectify any problem found.
This service is available for all properties under maintenance at a reduced rate with no upfront costs and because our technicians carry out the regular preventative maintenance visits they have a good background knowledge of the sites.
