British Standard 5266-1 2016 regulations decree that it is a legal requirement for all emergency lighting systems to be tested and maintained on a regular basis. This includes responsible persons nominated to keep adequate records of the installation details, test reports and maintenance records.
Brighton Fire Alarms maintenance division offers comprehensive packages which can be tailored to suit your property including weekly visual inspections, monthly tests for a short period not exceeding one quarter of the system duration, quarterly tests for one third of the system duration and annual inspections for the full durations of the system all of which are upheld to the highest possible standard. AOV’s (automatic opening vents) are an important part of fire safety in escape staircases. They are often linked to the fire alarm system but can be stand-alone systems. On activation the control will open a window or vent situated on the upper level to allow any smoke out of the building
Brighton Fire Alarms can supply and install these systems with all parts certified to BS EN12101.
