Brighton Fire Alarms Limited was formed in June 1993 with offices in Brighton. The business: To install and maintain fire alarm systems to meet the requirements of British Standard 5839 and emergency lighting to British Standard 5266. The Maintenance Division provides the company with a 24 hour - 365 days a year emergency call out operation to compliment its overall service. The number of employees when the company commenced was 6 with the work mainly carried out in the Brighton Area. As the company expanded Electrical Contracting naturally evolved along with the Building Works Division and most recently a Fire Risk Assessment department all enhancing the overall business development.
Since its conception, considerable growth has taken place, the company now employs in excess of 50 members of staff and Brighton Fire Alarms install and maintain contracts nationwide. Our main area of operation covers Brighton & Hove, Bognor Regis, Burgess Hill, Chichester, Crawley, Croydon, Eastbourne, East Grinstead, Guildford, Hastings, Havant, Haywards Heath, Heathfield, Horsham, Lewes, Littlehampton, Portsmouth, Reigate, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Shoreham-by-Sea, Southampton, Uckfield, Worthing, Surrey, Hampshire, Kent & London.
The company moved to larger premises in Shoreham in 1999 and expansion still continues today with Brighton Fire Alarms moving to a bigger purpose built office in June 2008. The Maintenance Division now holds more than 2500 contracts providing customers with tailored maintenance contracts of their fire alarms systems to all British Standards with the added benefit of our 24 hour, 365 day per year emergency call out service.
Periodic Electrical Inspection Reports for flats, house or houses of multiple occupation are incorporated in the companies activities, with electrical installations undertaken to comply with British Standards 7671. Gas Safety Checks a requirement of Local Authorities is also within the Companies' field of operation and carried out by our Gas Safe Registered Engineer.
Brighton Fire Alarms accreditations include ISO 9001:2008 (BM Trada), ECA (Electrical Contractors Association), JIB (Joint Industry Board), NIC-EIC Constructionline, FSA (Fire & Security Association), Trustmark, Part ‘P' (ELECSA)& Investors in People.
